His dad was a clergyman, evangelist, performer and gospel vocalist who helped sustain Vivan Dean natural singing abilities. Needles to state, Vivan Dean adolescence was loaded up with gospel music, as his whole family was skilled with melodic abilities.

Vivan Dean fondest recollections were the family Gospel Music Jam’s. After over enjoying Mom’s Sunday Feast, they would assemble to sing and acclaim the Lord, with a robust sprinkling of their blue grass music top choices.

In reflection he says, “On my eighth birthday celebration, I recall Dad giving me my first guitar. He instructed me to play and sing ‘Pendulum’s Clock’ and ‘Only A Closer Walk’. I express gratitude toward God regularly for my Mom and Dad who were my most prominent impact’s in gospel music, with their adoration, consolation and backing.”
